Laboratory Department

Our laboratory provides diagnostic facilities for specimens of blood, body fluids, and biopsied specimens.
It is under the direction of a medically qualified pathologist who is responsible for following technical services:

Clinical Chemistry generates large numbers of routine test by automated methods using state of the arts technologies, which is designed to function consistently and dependably from day to day providing the highest quality and most reliable results available. It also provides the highly specialized assay needed for research.
Hematology applies molecular, cellular and morphological techniques to the study of blood, blood-forming tissue, and blood diseases. The laboratory has interest and expertise in areas such as hemostasis, thrombosis, metabolism and morphology. This laboratory is particularly interested in the study of blood coagulation and fibrinolysis and the use of hemostatic test as a marker of disease.
Immunology / Serology is a fully equipped unit providing a wide range of immunodiagnostic assays from screening and identification of most disease associated antibodies to quantitative measurement of autoantibodies and immune factors. The unit also offers various allergen tests and confirmatory assays for infectious agents.
Bacteriology & Histopathology is well equipped with the entire basic hardware essential in today's bacterial and pathological identification of disease.Accepts gram staining, KOH and other related examination.
Clinical Microscopy specializes in identifying disease-causing microorganisms, specifically infectious agent in urine, stool and occult blood using the standard procedure. This unit also provides pregnancy and semenalysis test with accurate and reliable results.
Drug Screening Test is licensed and accredited by Department of Health (DOH). This is performed to detect the presence or absence of drugs of abuse in a urine specimen.
